Fair for Fitness is an independent project from Germany with a single mission: to make gym prices honestly comparable.
Anyone looking for a gym knows the game: the ad says “from €19.90”, but the joining fee, service charge and starter packages quickly turn that into a lot more. It's exactly these hidden costs that we factor in across the contract term, sorting studios by their real effective price — so you can see at a glance what a studio really costs you.

We factor the joining fee and service charge in across the term and show the real monthly figure — not the teaser price from the ad.
Independent & unpaid
The ranking is not for sale. There is no paid reordering; we clearly label promotions and ads and keep them strictly separate from the neutral comparison.
Transparent & verifiable
Every price links to its source and carries an as-of date, all without warranty. Studios without a public price we honestly mark — we never invent a figure.
What drives us
The fitness market thrives on confusing rates. We believe: a decision about a contract that often ties you in for 12 or 24 months should be based on real figures — not on marketing. That's why Fair for Fitness is free, ad-funded only through clearly labelled promotional links, and the neutral ranking stays untouched by that. So far we have calculated the real effective price for around 6,414 studios all across Germany.
Who is behind it
Fair for Fitness is founded and published by Noah Joel Hoffmann (NJ-Solutions, Chemnitz) — who is also responsible for the methodology and content. Fair for Fitness is run independently.
