- The effective cost is the true monthly price of a gym including every fee: the base membership plus the joining fee and service charge (and any mandatory training package), spread across the full contract term. A teaser price of, say, €19.90/month quickly becomes a real price of around €25/month.
- Is Fair for Fitness free?
- Yes. It’s completely free to use and needs no sign-up. We’re independent and never reorder studios in exchange for payment.
- Is Fair for Fitness the same as fair-fitness.com?
- No. Fair for Fitness (fair-for-fitness.de) is an independent price-comparison site for gym memberships – not a gym chain. We don’t run any studios ourselves; we compare every provider’s prices neutrally by effective cost.

- Where do the prices come from?
- From the providers’ publicly available rates. Every figure is recorded with a date and source; we explain the exact calculation transparently on our methodology page.
